A large discovery of over 300 Maya artifacts was recovered from Altun Ha including the valuable Jade Head of Kinich Ahau (the Maya Sun God).  Climb the Temple of the Masonary Altars, the highest temple and focal point for religious activities, for a view of the site and a feel for ancient times.
